Stream of Conciousness Vol. 1

I let a month go by and missed the 100 words or less contest. Boo. But! There will be other contests. For now, I give you the most random thoughts and ideas and facts about me. They're tossing around inside my brain and I just want to get out there for no reason at all. Something might inspire deeper writing, but at the very least, it's an exercise to get the neurons firing and the juices flowing.

Random Thoughts Tumbling Around...

I have never met an olive or pickle that I didn't like. I equally love and hate that I try to analyze and figure out plot points of a book or movie. I dislike the early darkness that comes with Winter. I also very much dislike Winter. I am convinced that Richard Gere and Julia Roberts had a torrid love affair while filming Pretty Woman - they look at one another in such a way that transcends acting. For recipes that call for mayonnaise, there is always a fine line between just enough and far too much - always. I share a birthday with Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and often wonder what it would have been like to have met her. I never understood the appeal of The Smashing Pumpkins. I think about my grandparents everyday, and I wish I could talk to them and get their thoughts on current events. I have a love hate relationship with my curly hair. I believe in ghosts and other supernatural forces. Margaritas are life. I unavoidably hit a deer last year and still wonder how it didn't crash through the windshield upon impact. I was a virgin until I was almost 26. He was well worth the wait. Coffee and chocolate are essential necessities. Zachary Quinto's eyebrows are inexplicably unnerving. I terribly miss all my pets who have passed on. Often times when I am cooking, I'll mentally engage inner dialogue, as though I am on a cooking show - it helps me concentrate on the task at hand better. I have a fear of snakes. I had a hysterectomy in 2018 and do not miss having a period in the least. It's been liberating. Michael Keaton Is Batman. I had my first crush on another woman when I was 23. To this day, I still admire her from afar. Staying up late and sleeping in is my jam. I have a weird knack for suddenly remembering random people from my childhood or past, and find that when I look them up to see what they are up to, they've all died. It's unsettling. If I had to pick one meal, it would always be Eggs Benedict. I'm allergic to lavender. I had surgery at 3 months old,and the IV left a cross shaped scar on my left wrist. I never knew my father. Granny Smith apples sprinkled with salt. Trust me. Absolutely delicious. Starbucks was my favorite retail job. It's what turned me into a coffee lover. I love the scent of Spring slowly creeping in among the late Winter cold.
